In the department for the first time in the world, a prototype model of the forearm was designed and manufactured, in which an artificial module can perform three functions (opening-closing of the grip, rotation and flexion-extension) simultaneously in natural mode without switching.
RESEARCH PROJECTS:
- development of control systems for technical rehabilitation devices, new designs of modules for upper and lower limb prostheses, attachments to working prostheses, appliances for self-service and labor
- development of design documentation and prototyping of various types of technical means of rehabilitation using 3D-printing technologies and biomechanical characteristics of the disabled limbs after amputation
- laboratory, clinical trials of developed experimental and prototype prostheses and new rehabilitation equipment
