The department together with RSC "ENERGIA" developed and introduced modules for prostheses of the upper extremities of the new generation; A new technology for manufacturing upper limb prostheses has been developed; medical technologies for correcting the weight of disabled people, rehabilitation of women with disabilities of reproductive age after amputation of limbs, new designs for upper limb prostheses; The research of combined sockets for atypical and complex prosthetics of upper limbs, cosmetic, working and mechanical prostheses with a traction control system and external sources of control was carried out.

scientific substantiation of the methodology of complex and atypical prosthetics and orthosis of the upper limbs;
the development of medical and technical requirements for new and improved prosthetic structures;
the development of new designs of technical rehabilitation devices; auxiliary functional devices and devices for people with disabilities with upper limb defects;
